Your eyes are not deceiving you. YES, Kristen Dela Cruz is xanga-ing, after over a year of Xanga Hiatus.

Why? Because i had the randomest aim conversation with Mr. Albert Oduca...at work, of all places. It began with talking about our respective jobs, & in the end he convinced me to put it up on Xanga. Because apparently anything ending in sex is good. haha. enjoy.

"How Urban Science leads to Sex, via Deer and Bambi."

(edited slightly so it would flow better.. i say "haha" too much. haha. )

[10:08] Albert Oduca: urban science
[10:08] Albert Oduca: here in america, we work for auto manufacturers like toyoa and honda
[10:08] Albert Oduca: and provide services that give all sorts of data that help them optimize their dealer network
[10:08] kristendelakreuk: ooo urban science sounds so nifty
[10:09] Albert Oduca: its kinda funny, cuz i go to the uci career fair to recruit
[10:09] Albert Oduca: we mainly recruit math and ics majors
[10:09] kristendelakreuk: nice
[10:10] Albert Oduca: but then at the career fair, a fairly attractive girl would come to our booth
[10:10] Albert Oduca: and i would think
[10:10] Albert Oduca: no way shes a math or ics major
[10:10] kristendelakreuk: !! hahaha
[10:10] Albert Oduca: and then she asks "science? you guys take bio or chem"
[10:10] Albert Oduca: "no, not that kind of science... more like computer science, sorry"
[10:11] Albert Oduca: then some nerdy looking asian would come, then we know he found the right booth
[10:11] kristendelakreuk: hahaha
[10:11] Albert Oduca: sometimes we get civil engineers
[10:11] Albert Oduca: bc of the "urban"
[10:11] Albert Oduca: sorry, not that kind of urban
[10:12] Albert Oduca: so its sounds cool, but its pretty misleading
[10:12] Albert Oduca: haha
[10:12] kristendelakreuk: it is actually...
[10:12] kristendelakreuk: you should have pictures

[10:13] Albert Oduca: we do but its of ppl working in the office
[10:13] Albert Oduca: but its like, dude, anyone can use those pics
[10:13] Albert Oduca: so generic
[10:13] Albert Oduca: haahaha
[10:13] kristendelakreuk: a picture of a building with an X over it. "not this kind of urban." & a picture of vials & microscopes with an X over them. "not this kind of science"
[10:13] Albert Oduca: and have a flask or a deer
[10:13] kristendelakreuk: a deer! lol
[10:13] Albert Oduca: hahah vials and microscopes
[10:13] Albert Oduca: nice
[10:14] Albert Oduca: yah.. a deer... you know... bio
[10:14] Albert Oduca: lol
[10:14] kristendelakreuk: that totally is not the first thing i think of when someone says bio
[10:14] kristendelakreuk: but it works
[10:14] kristendelakreuk: i guess

[10:14] Albert Oduca: haha yeah i know
[10:14] Albert Oduca: dont know how i came up with a deer
[10:14] Albert Oduca: microscopes def. work better
[10:15] kristendelakreuk: do people even dissect deer?
[10:16] Albert Oduca: hahah i dont think so
[10:16] Albert Oduca: coulda been a naked half cut open human, but then that gets awkward
[10:16] kristendelakreuk: HAHA
[10:16] Albert Oduca: so a deer would be more fitting
[10:16] Albert Oduca: "awwww a deer, how cute"
[10:17] Albert Oduca: hopefully they wont think of bambi, and how his/her mom died, then they get all sad
[10:17] Albert Oduca: and dont visit our booth
[10:17] Albert Oduca: what gender is bambi, btw?
[10:17] kristendelakreuk: a boy!
[10:17] Albert Oduca: i think its a male
[10:17] kristendelakreuk: good job
[10:17] Albert Oduca: but bambi is fer sure a girlsname
[10:17] Albert Oduca: and he sounds like a girl
[10:17] kristendelakreuk: i honestly don't know how or why they named him bambi
[10:17] Albert Oduca: must be a gay deer. other gay deers look at bambi and say, "whoa, that deer is gay"
[10:17] kristendelakreuk: until he becomes a man deer!
[10:17] kristendelakreuk: he gets all big
[10:18] kristendelakreuk: & hooks up with the girl deer
[10:18] kristendelakreuk: & grows antlers
[10:18] kristendelakreuk: & fights some big buff deer for her
[10:18] kristendelakreuk: his voice becomes a lot less gay when he gets older
[10:18] kristendelakreuk: otherwise, im sure the girl deer would've rejected him

[10:19] Albert Oduca: hahaha
[10:19] Albert Oduca: ya, when he hooks up with another female deer, fo sho his voice will get deeper
[10:19] kristendelakreuk: HAHA
[10:19] Albert Oduca: unless the female deer is also named bambi
[10:19] kristendelakreuk: awkward!
[10:19] Albert Oduca: then that would be awkward
[10:20] Albert Oduca: like how does one shout your own name during deer sex
[10:20] Albert Oduca: yowsers
[10:20] kristendelakreuk: hahahahaha
[10:20] kristendelakreuk: it could get confusing

[10:20] Albert Oduca: thats only ok if you talk in 3rd person during sex
[10:20] kristendelakreuk: maybe they'd have to roleplay
[10:20] Albert Oduca: but who does that?
[10:21] Albert Oduca: yeah yeah role play makes it better
[10:21] kristendelakreuk: talking in 3rd person during sex!? wow, that would take way too much effort. but you never know, someone may be into it
[10:22] Albert Oduca: haha
[10:22] Albert Oduca: but itd be funny
[10:22] Albert Oduca: then kill the mood
[10:22] kristendelakreuk: HAHAH
[10:22] Albert Oduca: "wow, i cant believe you just said that, im getting off"
[10:22] kristendelakreuk: lol
[10:22] kristendelakreuk: yeah....if someone did that to me while having sex, i'd start laughing

[10:23] Albert Oduca: thats fun and games and all, but man, goodbye romance
[10:23] Albert Oduca: hahaah
[10:23] kristendelakreuk: kinda kills it. but again, you never know who might be into that sort of thing
[10:24] kristendelakreuk: are we really talking about sex while at work?!?
[10:24] kristendelakreuk: lol

[10:24] Albert Oduca: hahaah
[10:24] Albert Oduca: urban science -> bambi -> deer -> sex
[10:24] Albert Oduca: very nice
[10:24] Albert Oduca: talking about sex during work is the best
[10:25] Albert Oduca: cuz FO SHO itll keep you awake
[10:25] kristendelakreuk: hahaha
[10:25] kristendelakreuk: this is true
[10:25] kristendelakreuk: if i still xanga'd
[10:25] kristendelakreuk: then i would xanga this

[10:25] Albert Oduca: hahaha
[10:25] kristendelakreuk: "how urban science leads to sex"
[10:25] Albert Oduca: hmmm might tak that into consideration
[10:25] Albert Oduca: why dont you anymore?
[10:25] kristendelakreuk: i dont know
[10:25] kristendelakreuk: i start
[10:26] kristendelakreuk: then i dont finish
[10:26] kristendelakreuk: ive gotten lazy

[10:26] Albert Oduca: dude this one is so easy
[10:26] Albert Oduca: ctrl c + ctrl v = done
[10:29] kristendelakreuk: this is true
[10:29] Albert Oduca: cmon just do it
[10:29] kristendelakreuk: maybe this will break my xanga dryspell
[10:29] Albert Oduca: (referring to xanga, not sex)
[10:29] kristendelakreuk: (especially not 3rd person sex...with a deer...)
[10:29] Albert Oduca: yeah, im on a xanga dry spell also
[10:30] kristendelakreuk: people will be like "wtf...she hasn't xanga'd in over a year & this is what she puts?"
[10:31] Albert Oduca: hey man, this is quality convo right
[10:31] Albert Oduca: and it ends with sex!
[10:31] Albert Oduca: cmon, ask anyone
[10:31] Albert Oduca: if anything ends with sex, its GOTTA be good
[10:31] kristendelakreuk: hahaha
[10:31] Albert Oduca: a movie
[10:31] Albert Oduca: dinner
[10:31] Albert Oduca: anything
[10:31] kristendelakreuk: even xanga entries

...and thus, after one ctrl +c & ctrl+v later, my first Xanga entry in over a year happened.

the end.

i watched Center Stage today & got all nostalgic for my dancer days. hence the pictures. haha.

it's been years since i've even been able to do the splits easily...much less the other insane things ballerina's are supposed to be able to do.

jeepers...the torture i used to put my body through! and now it hurts just to touch my toes. boo hoo.

oh yes, and happy halloween! and once thanksgiving is done...CHRISTMAS! eee!

sorry for my emo entry last time. the senior syndrome hit me particularly hard that night i guess. thanks to everyone that replied

i didn't really expect all those questions to be answered, heh. i guess i'm just worried for the future...especially for kaba. i can't help it!  i was on board for 2 years and kaba was my life for quite a while...and even though i've gotten to that point where it's not so much my life anymore, i still can't help but hope that everything's going to be okay when we're gone.  those were just questions that came up during my years as a kaba boardie, and i just put them out there i guess as advice in the form of questions to think about. for all those who are now or may be in leadership positions in the future. i don't know, maybe it's not my place to say anything. but i'm old, i'm cranky, and this is my xanga so i'll write what i want. it's all out of love, anyway.

i'm sure many of you know how it feels to have to entrust the future of your "baby," so to speak, over to younger kids who still seem like they have so much to learn. but i guess we don't have a choice. i just hope that my generation has absorbed enough and grown enough to be good enough examples and role models to these new kids. as good as the ones we had when we were the newbies.
